Real Time HD Video Encoder for 8 HD-SDI inputs to H.264 streams on ASI or IP outputs

This is an 8 channel HD SDI encoder for converting 8 channels of HD-SDI content input to ASI and IP outputs. Each of the 8 SDI encoders can be independently configured for bit rate and PID management. Encoding is based on high-level H.264 codec and bit rates up to 19 Mbps per channel are supported. This platform is ideal for reducing the rack space required for HD program encoding for content source origination and distribution. Ideally suited for CATV headend program aggregation or high-end CCTV systems. All encoded programs are multiplexed to multi-program transport stream (MPTS) outputs on both ASI and IP. Additionally, this unit is an SDI to IP encoder where single program transport stream (SPTS) outputs are provided for all inputs on the IP network output. All settings are available via the front panel as well as a web-based network management system. This SDI streaming encoder also provides a one channel ASI input that can multiplex 1 additional program to the outputs from an ASI source. This highly flexible HD video encoder dramatically lowers the cost per channel for real-time HD video encoding.
